2012 International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors

Welcome to the 2nd International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors 2012 (IRIS2012). The event is organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, the Malaysian Robotics and Automation Interest Group (MYRAig), and  Nagoya University, Japan. IRIS2012 is intended to provide technical forum and discussion related to robotics and sensors. The symposium is aimed to bring together researchers, academicians, scientists, students, engineers and practitioners to participate and present their latest findings, ideas, developments and applications related to the various aspects of robotics and sensors. IRIS2012 will features interactive Technical Sessions, Special Sessions, Invited Sessions, Competition and Exhibition. The Invited Session include keynote addresses by eminent scientists as well as presentation by delegates from industries. Papers in IRIS2012 proceedings will be archived in Elsevier Sciversa ScienceDirect as Journal papers in the Journal of Procedia Engineering, and are normally included in Scopus, Elsevier’s online abstract and citation database covering over 16,000 scientific periodicals from many different publishers. Extended version of selected best papers will be consider for publication in selected journals (refer journals list below).  


LATEST NEWS!!

All accepted papers in IRIS2012 proceedings (Regular <oral & poster> and Special Sessions) will be published as Journal papers in the Journal of Procedia Engineering (Elsevier) and will be available online in Elsevier Sciverse ScienceDirect database during the conference. The publication is with ISBN/ISSN number and will be indexing in Ei Compendex, Scopus and Engineering Index.

 

*According to this latest progress, the organizer has decided to extend the full paper submission to 15th May 2012 31 May 2012 (Final). The new paper template following the Elsevier format is available at the Paper Submission Guideline. For those who have submitted using the old format, you can change it to the latest Elsevier format during the Final Camera-Ready paper submission.


[IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CAMERA-READY SUBMISSION]

IRIS2012 have received nearly 300 papers for review and about 250 papers have been accepted. We would like to thank you for all contributors and congratulation to all accepted papers. For papers that was not accepted, we hope to receiving your contribution again in next IRIS conference. The dateline for submission of Camera-Ready paper is due until 30th June 2012. To all accepted paper authors, please make sure to upload the final Camera-Ready paper (PDF and MsWord/LaTeX) to EDAS before the dateline. Please note that payment of extra page fee is required to perform in EDAS during uploading the PDF file. Payment is by online credit card in EDAS.

[Copyright Transfer]

All copyright transfer process will be handle by the publisher (Elsevier). The publisher will directly contact the correspondence author for each paper to fill up an online copyright transfer form. 

Elsevier has sent emails of online copyright transfer to all correspondace authors of all accepted papers. Make sure you have received the email and complete the copyright transfer process. If you did not get the email, please check with the first author of your paper because Elsevier may has sent the email to the first author.

[Registration and Payment]

Online registration page in EDAS will open starting from 1st July 2012. At least one author of each accepted paper need to complete the registration and payment before 31st July 2012. Please refer to Registration link for detail info.
